Learning Outcomes:

  • After completing the VFX Diploma programme, students will gain a clear understanding of the complete visual effects production pipeline and industry workflow. They will be able to apply design principles effectively while creating 2D and 3D assets for films, advertisements, and digital media. Students will develop practical skills in green screen compositing, rotoscoping, camera tracking, lighting, rendering, and basic FX simulations such as fire, smoke, and water. The programme enables learners to confidently use industry standard software, manage production deadlines, and work in a professional team environment. By the end of the course, students will produce a strong showreel and portfolio, preparing them for entry-level opportunities in the VFX and media industry.

Job Market and Career Pathway:

The international job market for VFX professionals is strong and continuously growing due to the high demand for content in films, OTT platforms, television, gaming, advertising, and virtual production. Countries such as Sri Lanka,India, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe offer opportunities in studios ranging from small creative houses to major production companies. With the expansion of streaming platforms and global outsourcing, skilled VFX artists can also work on international projects remotely.


The career pathway typically begins with Junior Artist or Trainee roles such as Roto Artist, Paint Artist, Compositor, 3D Generalist, or Matchmove Artist. With experience and skill development, professionals can progress to Mid level Artist, Senior Artist, and Lead roles. Further growth includes positions such as VFX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, FX TD, or Creative Director. With strong technical and artistic expertise, artists may also transition into freelancing, studio ownership, teaching, or specialized roles in gaming, virtual production, and real-time VFX.
